Menchi Fabrics was founded in 1961 as a partnership then transformed in 1994 in its current form of limited company.
Now the specialization of Menchi focuses in the production of woolen fabrics for outerwear focusing in the first decades of its history on sales in foreign markets, especially Germany and Britain.
In the mid-nineties, due also to a generational change, the company's product range underwent a markedly qualitative evolution, positioning itself in a high-end market, contributing to the current development and success of Menchi, which is following an evident countertrend towards the international scene.
The company went from a turnover of 10 million euros to current 21 through the development of products with a high percentage of noble fibers (such as Angora, Mohair, Cashmere and alpaca of which Menchi is the first European producer) establishing itself as a leader in outerwear of mid-upper range.
Among our clients: Max Mara Group, Armani, Prada, Burberry, Aquascutum, Benetton, Vestebene, Gilbret, El Corte Ingles, in addition to more major manufacturers of coats inside and outside Europe.
The main markets are now Italy, Russia, USA, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom.
